Thaer has a research background in Bank Credit Risk, Dividend Payout Policy, and Capital Regulation. By far, he has published his first paper in a highly regarded peer reviewed international journal, International Journal of Finance and Economics (IJFE), and the present paper is his third paper from his PhD thesis.
