Stephen Millard is a Senior Research Manager in the Structural Economic Division at the Bank of England, a Visiting Professor at Durham University Business School and a Research Affiliate at the Centre for Macroeconomics, the Centre for Data Analytics for Finance and Macroeconomics at Kings College, London, and the Centre for Research in Macroeconomics and Macro-Finance at Swansea University.

As well as carrying out research in the areas of Macroprudential policy, Modelling financial stocks and flows, and Inflation dynamics, Stephen represents the Bank of England on the Strategy Board of the Government Economic Service, the Conference of Heads of University Departments of Economics, the Steering Committee of the Euro Area Business Cycle Network and the Money, Macro and Finance Society Committee.

He has a PhD in Economics from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois, where he studied with the late Nobel Laureate Dale Mortensen.
